Senior Physiotherapist / Physiotherapist
Reporting to Head, Palliative Rehabilitation Unit, the successful candidate is responsible for helping clients to optimise mobility, function and independence through detailed assessments of problems, individualised treatments and manual therapy for our palliative care clients across different stages of disease trajectories in Dover Park Hospice (DPH). S/He works collaboratively as part of our multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to ensure a high standard of clinical practice and professional conduct in all areas of client care. He/She organises and distributes caseload, supervises students and coaches junior staff. He/She also participates in continuing education and research to achieve quality rehabilitative palliative care.
He/She operates trans-disciplinary within the DPH rehab unit and may work across various DPH services – inpatient, homecare and day care. This role would require her/him to have initiative, possess good communication and problem-solving skills and be sensitive to the needs of her/his clients negotiating challenges approaching the end of life.
Requirements:
- Registered with Singapore Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) and possess valid Full Practicing Certificate in Physiotherapy.
- At least 2 years of working experience as a Physiotherapist in Singapore. Geriatrics/Palliative Care experience is preferred.
- Possess good communication in English, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as a team-oriented personality. Ability to speak other languages (Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Tamil, etc.) and other dialects preferred.
