Executive, Finance
The Finance Executive will assist in the monthly closing of books, preparation of audit schedules, and various accounting tasks related to donations, fixed assets, patient accounting, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Donation Module (DM) & Bank Reconciliation:
- Manage collection of PayPal income for Dover Park Hospice (DPH) via DBS account 2.
- Maintain accurate accounting records for receipts and perform bank reconciliations.
- Record daily donations and reconcile the transaction history report against daily collections.
- Input donation data into the Business Central (BC) accounting system’s Donor Module.
- Ensure BC donations are recorded and correctly categorized as Tax or Non-Tax Deductible.
- Process receipts only after cheques, Giro, or bank transfers are cleared and reconcile these with bank statements.
- Follow up on cheque returns, contacting issuers if necessary for replacements.
- Print weekly thank-you letters and donation receipts.
- Update donation records regularly in the BC system.
- Monitor and manage restricted donations reports.
Fixed Assets Management:
- Post fixed asset transactions (additions, depreciation, disposals) in Business Central (BC).
- Prepare annual fixed asset listing for the Head of Department (HOD)’s verification.
- Conduct annual fixed asset sighting with HOD.
- Prepare the annual fixed asset schedule for audit purposes.
Patient Accounting:
- Manage Ministry of Health (MOH) subvention, including MOH subsidy, Medishield, and Medisave matters.
Other Financial Tasks:
- Send out debtor statements of accounts.
- Manage PalC accounts.
- Perform payroll reconciliations.
- Complete quarterly GST reconciliations and submit to IRAS.
- Prepare statistics and MPAC reports.
- Prepare balance sheet schedules for accruals, Medishield, Medisave receivables, and other related tasks as required.
Monthly Closing & Reporting:
- Ensure timely monthly closing of books.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules.
- Handle any ad-hoc reconciliations or reports as assigned.
Year-End Reporting:
- Assist in year-end financial closing, including preparing reconciliations and audit schedules.
- Support internal, external, project, and MOH audits.
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget.
Ad-Hoc Duties & Special Projects:
- Assist the Senior Executive, Finance as needed.
- Participate in any ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Finance/ Accountancy or related discipline.
- Preferably 2 - 3 years of relevant experience.
- Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
