Patient Services Associate
Reporting to Team Lead of Patient Services, the incumbent will assist in the smooth running of the Patient Services Office. He / She is responsible primarily to carry out patients’ admission, means testing, financial counselling, billing and submission of claims. He / She will provide administrative support to Inpatient as well as Home Care and Day Care services.
Responsibilities
Patients’ Referral
· Upload and convert referrals from AIC into IHMS
· Assign referrals to designated doctor
· Email the acceptance to referring sources and record rejected referrals into the Hospice’s IHMS and AIC’s IRMS systems
· Contact patients and/or their family members to inform on the referral to DPH and to provide information on charges
Patients’ Admission
· Attend to pre-admissions processes of patients and patient admissions ensuring all documentations are complete and in order
· Maintain and update patients’ in iHMS
· Collect deposits from and issue official receipts upon admissions of patients who do not wish to complete means testing
Means-Testing/Social Support
· Check means-test status of new patients and for existing means test results in the NMTS
· Process means-testing documentation on patients who have requested for means-testing and follow up on incomplete documentation
· Scan and upload means-test result onto IHMS and create data to input subsidy
· Attend to enquiries on means-testing
Financial Counselling
· Carry out financial counselling to patients and ensure documentations are complete
· Check to ensure receipt of duly signed Medisave Authorisation Forms and update details into the system.
Others
· Proficient in the use and navigation of up to multiple systems
(AIC,NMTS,VMS,iHMS,BC,NPHC,Excel)
· Perform insurance/medisave claims submission and verification of particulars and limits in various claims portal
· Attend to enquiries on billings, deposits and means testing
· Attend to Homecare and Daycare admissions and discharges
· Any other work assigned by the supervisor
Requirements :
· Diploma/ Nitec in Service Skills/ GCE ‘O’ Level
· Minimum 3 years’ working experience in healthcare industry
· Attend to patients with good communication and interpersonal skills while upholding quality service standard
· Proficient and comfortable in navigating computer systemsMature, dynamic and self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision
· Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
