Assistant Manager, IT Project Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager, IT Project Management who is accountable for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology projects within defined scope, schedule, and budget. This role requires effective coordination of cross-functional teams, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and adherence to governance standards, all while ensuring high-quality outcomes and maximizing business value.
Responsibilities:
Project Management & Implementation
• Lead end-to-end IT project lifecycle: from feasibility studies and requirement gathering to implementation, user training, and handover.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including clinical, administrative, finance, and external vendors.
• Define project scope, milestones, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely delivery, cost control, and quality assurance of project deliverables.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Liaise with software vendors, implementation partners, and cloud service providers to ensure service levels and compliance.
• Serve as the main point of contact between project sponsors, department heads, and technical teams.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend cost-effective, scalable solutions.
Budgeting & Reporting
• Prepare project budgets and track actuals against forecasts.
• Support IT annual budgeting exercises and capital expenditure justifications.
• Provide regular status updates and post-project evaluations to management.
Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Min 3 years of experience in a similar role with experience in a healthcare environment is an added advantage
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong people management and team collaboration skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in process development and operational oversight.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and analytical skills.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) and/or Certification in Data Governance or Data Management is an added advantage.
The successful candidate will be initially offered a 2-year contract and can expect a monthly basic salary up to $6,000, commensurate with experience.
