The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and compliant operations of Dover Park Hospice. The role oversees facilities, estate management, procurement, safety, and administrative functions to support high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations, facilities, and estate services, including maintenance, housekeeping, security, waste management, and utilities.
Oversee vendors and contractors to ensure service quality, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.
Develop and implement operational, procurement, and risk management policies and procedures.
Prepare and manage budgets, procurement processes, and operational reporting.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g. ISO, OHSAS).
Supervise operations staff and technicians, including performance management and training.
Coordinate emergency preparedness, fire safety, and business continuity planning.
Support hospice-wide events and operational projects as required.
Requirements
Degree in Facilities Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
Relevant experience in operations or facilities management, preferably in healthcare or hospice settings.
Strong vendor management, budgeting, and compliance experience.
Hands-on, proactive, and able to work across multiple stakeholders.
