Senior/ Physiotherapist
The Senior/ Physiotherapist provides physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to patients and clients across inpatient, homecare and day care settings. The role provides clinical leadership in palliative rehabilitation, supports multidisciplinary care, supervises junior staff, and contributes to service development, education and quality improvement.
Responsibilities
Conduct physiotherapy assessments, formulate treatment plans, set goals and evaluate outcomes based on clients’ functional needs, disease progression and safety
Provide appropriate physiotherapy interventions for clients with complex and changing care needs, in accordance with professional and clinical standards
Coordinate care plans and communicate clients’ progress, therapy goals and outcomes with clients, caregivers, multidisciplinary teams and relevant stakeholders.
Recommend appropriate assistive devices, therapy equipment and interventions to support clients’ functional independence and continuity of care
Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and guidance to physiotherapists, therapy support staff, students and volunteers
Lead or contribute to clinical programmes, quality improvement, research and evidence-based practice initiatives
Develop and deliver education and training for clients, caregivers, staff and relevant stakeholders on palliative rehabilitation
Support service operations, including workload planning, equipment and inventory management, risk management, clinical audits and staff development
Requirements
Degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent recognised qualification
Registered with the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) and possess a valid Practising Certificate
At least 6 years of experience in a Physiotherapist role to be considered for the Senior role
Experience in palliative care, geriatrics or rehabilitation will be an advantage
Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Additional language proficiency to support communication with patients and caregivers will be an advantage
The successful candidate can expect a monthly basic salary of up to $5,800, commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience as a Physiotherapist.
